Customer Reviews

everything you ever wanted to know about wrestling in mma5
after seeing this book on the shelf at a local store, i immediately thought to myself it was just another one of those books brought out by a fighter to explain mma to beginers and make some money along the way.

WRONG!!!!

after picking this book up and flicking through the pages, i became instantly transfixed on it. after around ten minutes of reading it, and caught myself doing some of the footwork and positoning that the book describes in the store!! it instantly made me want to buy it!!

after i got the book home, i got my friend over (another mma fan) and we proceded to try out most of the techniques in it. it was fantastic, very easy to read, with colour sections on freestyle, and greco-roman!!

i would reccomend this book to anyone, it is very interesting, with a lot of old school techniques for takedowns and holds mixed up with a lot of inventive thinking.

A great book from a great mma legend!!!

Buy this book, get a mate over and get practising!!!

you will not be dissapointed!!

Expert Advice5
This is a really excellent book by someone with a core background in the disciplines of freestyle and greco-roman. His ability to take this into the MMA field and combine striking is sheer mastery. The book captures the different schools and adaptation thereof for MMA. The gross motor skills of some of the wrestling techniques should also appeal to reality-based martial artists. He has so much to teach, I think this is a superb primer with intelligently written narrative.
