Useful but unfinished
I'd used the CGP revision guides for C1/2 but as they stop there I had to find another guide to use. This book's main strength is the fact that it has been tailor made for the C3 exam, so you can be confident of getting a good grade if you've mastered the exercises. As the lead review says it's clear and up to date etc however you get the feeling that the series was rushed onto the market as the answer guide is riddled with errors. This can really break your stride everytime you have to keep rechecking the question in vain. Another stinker is the fact they set tons of questions on drawing graphs, yet they provide no answers in the back, likely because of the publisher cutting costs on the book's length. So whilst overall this book is a useful guide, it's flaws will put some people off.
Paul Sanders my hero
Okay so there might be the odd mistake in the back and an insignificant diagram missing here and there BUT the worked examples in this book are invaluable. I had spent a whole year struggling with M1 using other textbooks from school and 1 week before the exam I was still getting B's and C's in past papers. I ordered this book, read every page, and did basically every question in the book (in about 3 days) and walked the exam. The combination of this book and past papers is more than enough to prepare you for the exam.
Well I like it
Just bought this book, the reviews scared me to even try the excercises BUT there are so many great worked examples, that it definitely does not deserve a 1 star
