This National Geographic Telescope is compact, modern and very functional. It delivers great optics in a portable design. This unit has 2 interchangeable eyepieces and the removable optical tube means the telescope can either be used with the aluminium tabletop tripod or used as a hand-held telescope. Features include a built-in fluid-filled compass which assists in accurate positioning and a 5x20 finder scope.

The overall measurements of the tripod are approximately 330 millimetres high, with the mounted telescope it's approximately 420 millimetres high. The approximate dimensions of the telescope are 350 by 110 millimetres.

We found this telescope very disappointing.
Perhaps our expectations were unreasonable, in view of the very cheap price, but it is very much a toy and is not suitable for the purpose. It is absolute rubbish. The picture is very deceptive. The stand is very small, flimsy and is as good as useless. The whole thing is made of very lightweight plastic, including the lenses, and it is almost impossible to see anything through either scope. I am amazed that National Geographic have been prepared to put their name to it.
