Good idea, poor taste...
The idea behind this bar is pretty good - a light chocolatey crisp bar that's low in fat and contains 6g of protein - the perfect a snack inbetween meals to keep hunger at bay... I'll be honest though; these don't taste great! Kind of like what you might imagine cardboard rice puffs (with a bit of chocolate on the top) to taste like. The texture is not enjoyable either as the bar is really dry and not at all chewy. It's a shame because I'm a Maximuscle fan and their products usually taste great!

When you compare this bar to regular ceral bars in the supermarket, the Promax Crisp bar contains far less carbs and sugar and more protein so it's definietly better in terms of nutritional content (calorie and fat content is about the same). The bar is pretty small aswell so if you're having it as a snack it's probably better with some fruit at the same time. If you are trying to eat more protein then these are a good way of topping it up but then again, you could just have a pot of yogurt - it will certainly taste better!
