An enduring method of keeping fit without a gym!
The book enables you to follow the same fitness program developed for and used by Canadian pilots up to the 1980's. At least one of the exercises is deemed to be out of step with current thinking but the concept of following a straightforward plan for a few minutes each day as a means of maintaining fitness holds true. No gym or specialist equipment needed, making it cheap without reducing its effectiveness. A search of the internet will reveal just how respected this program is, many people still incorporating it into their way of life. I still refer to the book to follow the program and know that I am a fitter over-50 because of it.
XBX Physical Fitness (Canadian Airforce)
I first bought this book in the 1970s and found the exercises just what suited me in that I could do them in ten minutes and just increased the number. Over the years, I used the book on and off but when I went to look for it the other day, it had gone. Maybe I threw it out because there were too many coffee stains on it. I thought there would be no problem getting another copy but when I googled it, people were looking for astronomical prices so I was fortunate to get a copy through Amazon. The whole deal was quick (1-click) and delivery was within a couple of days. All very satisfactory and I'm back into my exercises again.
