Customer Reviews

I've read better books on getting wealthy...3
This book is not 100% what it's title says (getting loaded)..The author talks about bonds and american taxes - not an ideal book for someone who lives outside USA. Don't get me wrong - it's an ok book, but, mainly applys to americans. Personally, I found it to be just a little disappointing. I recommend it to people which are interested in starting a life in USA. It gives you quite good tips on how to get more money from the tax man, and what american bonds to choose.

Get Loaded - Write a book about getting loaded2
Quite a few suggestions rely on living in America, but even those that don't are almost all valid but unrealistic or number plays that don't bare out in real life. The idea of pooling together to buy comparisson goods, such as a TV or a car, sounds good in the book - but really? How many people do you know that are right now, going to buy a new car, the same brand as you? How many of your friends prefer Sony to Panasonic and won't be swayed? One of the pivital ideas, generating money through interest, is a simple mathematical ploy with no mention of the realities of payment limits, accounts that close, accounts that don't accept large deposits, introduction rates, accounts that pay differing rates depending on the balance, not to mention the effect having a large pot of money will have when you try to negotiate a mortage, apply for a loan, healthcare, etc. If your're smart enough to realise you can optimise what money you do have, you don't need this book; If not, then this will fill a few idle hours with fantasy.
