Editorial Reviews
Doody's, May 2008
"This is one of the absolute pillars of any medical library."
Review
"This edition continues the book's long history of excellence in documenting the current understanding of human normal and pathophysiology....The book is for anyone who has the remotest association with the practice of medicine, be they internists, surgeons, nurses, technical staff, or counselors. This is the authority, and in a time of readily available but not always accurate information, this is the one source that can be relied upon....One of the highlights is a CD-ROM with supplemental graphs, photographs, videos and summaries. Yet, this CD does not detract from the full-color photographs in the book, the comprehensive tables and color figures, the definitions of terms, advice for further in-depth readings, and references....This is one of the absolute pillars of any medical library. It is the final word in internal medicine and we all owe a debt of gratitude to the editors and contributors who have created this extraordinary authority in medicine. 5 Stars!--Doody's Review Service (Doody's )

Customer Reviews
Excellent - does what it says on the cover
Excellent textbook Have been making my way through selected chapters and no complaints. It's the one to get, well until the new Oxford textbook hits the shelves.
Superb book
So far I have gleaned only some chapters in cardiology and endocrinology, but my initial impression is of an excellent source of imformation for medical staff.
Excellent book
Well arranged, informative book, maybe etalon in internal medicine textbooks ... As regards purchasing: I've ordered for the first time on amazon, paid with card (BRE bank)- payment was accepted without any compication. Shipping to Czech Republic was realised via DHL ( Deutsche Post), whereas within promised 8 days ( inc. w/e) I obtained carefully waterproofly packed delivery. I really do recommend this book as well as the seller.
