“The text with accompanying visual aids is an excellent quick referral guide to nearly everything undergraduate students will meet during Obstetrics and Gynaecology. It has found the right level in terms of undergraduate content and has struck the right balance between full curricular coverage and avoiding unnecessary detail. I would not hesitate to recommend it to my students.”

Medical student's obstetrics and gynaecology revision guide.4
Like all the other books in the "At a Glance" series, this one works well as a revision guide to help co-ordinate revision and a book you can skim through the night before the exams. It also covers the major aspects of both obstetrics and gynaecology very adequately indeed. It is essentially a book of hard facts displayed in the usual 2 page spread with text and diagrams, which really does help you remember the important points that can get lost in the mountain of work to be learned before exams. And also excellent value designed to fit the student budget!

Excellent book - buy it now!5
This book is perfect for medical undergraduates. It has a very good level of detail and is very comprehensive. The format also makes it perfect for neatly dividing up topics into managable chunks. I used this book extensively during O and G and gained a distinction!

Possibly the only weakness is that the author is American and some of the terms are therefore americanized.

To learn O and G properly you have to read as much as possible and combine with solid clinical experiece. I therefore suggest combing this book with Ten teachers, OHCS, an mcq book and an OSCE format book.

Good luck!

What more could you want?5
I guess review is easier with non-fiction than fiction. But the book is clear, concise and accurate. A perfect buy for the subject matter at medical student level. In terms of the delivery and condition: brisk and brilliant.
