Excellent
I really think this has become the standard read from cover to cover medical textbook for undergraduates. Kumar is too big. Davidson's is my favourite but detailed too. This just hits the right spot. Most of the questions I would ask medical students are here.
Well worth buying
This book is well worth the money. Like all textbooks it is weak in some areas but on balance should be on all students shelves.
Quick overview -enough for first year clinicals
I used this series right through medical school. They're all quite readable and give a decent overview of the subject. If you're in your first year of clinicals this book should be just enough for a pass in the general medical exams, fourth and final year students will need more in depth knowledge. That said I used this a framework for revision for my final MB and it got me through. Make sure you also get a decent book of mock questions to go with it as there isn't enough at the end of the chapters.
