Average customer review:Product Description
A straightforward approach forms the basis of this book that aims to present a systematic approach to ECG interpretation and be digestible to those setting out in this discipline, without the burden of unnecessary jargon. Each step to the systematic approach is presented simply in an A4 format. At the end of each chapter there are a number of activities to help the reader practice what they have just learnt, evaluate their learning and relate their learning to patient scenarios. Answers can be found at the back of the book.

Learn the mysteries of the ECG
The world can be divided into those who can interpret the ECG and those who cannot. To those who cannot the art of interpretation can appear a skill akin to alchemy - i.e. theoretically possible but beyond the capapbilities of mere mortals.
However for those mere mortals among us who wish to learn the art of ECG interpretation we are fortunate to have an excellent resource from which to begin in the form of this book.
The book is designed to support self directed learning although it is equally valuable to underpin any lectures or clinical tuition on the subject.
The book is written in an unambigious style supported by plenty af real world examples. This is its major advantage over many other books on the subject and hence one is immediately exposed to the art of ECG interpretation in the real world. There is a steady progression in the complexity of the examples demonstrated. Ultimately the reader is gently schooled in not just the physiology behind the ECG trace itself but to begin to formulate questions such as "what is going on here ?".
Overall this book is a very well designed package that will be of good use to anyone who finds themselves exposed to ECGs and requires an understanding that goes beyond recognising sinus rhythm.
Destined to become a classic ! (IMHO)
Best starter book for ECG interpretation
This is my top recommendation for anyone interested in ECG interpretation. It is simple and easy to understand, and can be used for self-directed learning, unlike a lot of other ECG books. You can work at your own pace, practice & check answers in the back. I would highly recommend this book to everyone.
ECG workbook
A fantastic book, written in simple language. If you're like me and was completely overwhelmed trying to understand ECGs then this is the book for you. It explains it in a step by step format with a short quiz at the end of each chapter. Its big and bold too with real ECGs. Definatley recommend this, the best ECG book by far. And it arrived within a couple of days with a note from the sender giving it a personal touch.
Good luck!!
