Manufacturer's Description
What happens in a second can be remembered for a lifetime. Capture it with the K510i. Take quality photos or record video clips with the 1.3-megapixel camera, save them and share them. Edit your images. Use the Face Warp application in the phone. Face Warp can easily turn a funny face into a funnier face. The K510i also has standard push email. Emails addressed to you are sent automatically to the phone without your having to do anything. Equipped with Bluetooth, the K510i connects to headsets, laptops and other Bluetooth phones without cables.

Take the K510i with you and have a camera close at hand when something memorable happens. Take quality photos or record video clips with the 1.3-megapixel camera, view them on the colour screen, add them to contacts, use them as wallpapers or share them with friends.

Showing is often the best way of telling. And showing means sharing. The K510i lets you share photos with others in numerous ways. Send it in a multimedia message or attach it to an email you send straight from the phone or a PC. Use the USB cable (supplied in kit) to drag and drop photos between the phone and your PC. The K510i is perfect for taking photos for the web, such as a blog site or your personal home page.

The K510i CD (supplied in kit) contains the PC software Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 Starter Edition. Connect the phone to your PC with the USB cable and use the program to store, sort, search and fix photos in your gallery. Another way to modify a photo, especially one of a face, is to use the Face Warp application in the phone. Bigger mouth, smaller forehead? Face Warp can easily turn a funny face into a funnier face.

The K510i supports standard push email. Emails addressed to you are sent automatically to the phone without you having to do anything. Small, Sleek, Sexy, Superb! :) The K510i :)4
I got this phone for christmas of 2006, and so far it has been a great little phone for me.

As you can expect from Sony Ericsson, the interface is very easy to use and is user friendly. All the menus are accesed using the 5way navigation joystick, which I have had no problems with.

The media player is of very high quality, despite only having 28MB built in memory, the phone's only downfall for me. But as I already have a 2GB MP3 player I am not going to replace it with a phone. The camera is of excellent quality, it is 1.3 megapixels and takes good high resolution images that are sharp and clear. The screen is easy to see in sunlight and is of a reasonable size, compared to some cheaper phones.

I still cannot believe the price of this phone though - everywhere you go you will find it at around £[...] - £[...], which to me is excellent value. Maybe the price would be more if you expand the memory but the 28MB is enough for me for a few mp3s and pictures. The included software is K510i PC Suite which works great and is easy to use. It often looks like Windows Explorer and is used using the drag and drop method - fantastic. A USB cable, charger, and headphone are included, but unfortunately there is only one earpiece :( But i am sure if you really wanted you could purchase some headset with 2 earpieces for stereo sound. The battery life is great, although you might discover that after playing a few songs it won't be long before you have to charge it again. But if it's just calling and texting you do, you shouldn't have to recharge the phone too often! The games included are MiniGolf and Quadapop, which I found to be very playable and I never got bored of them. And you can always download some more from the pc, with the usb cable. As well, you can download pictures, sounds, wallpapers, and themes to the phone from your pc which is very easy to use. So, as you can see I am a big fan of this phone. but does it have any downfalls? Well, the 28MB memory, might not please people, and they also may want a Walkman branded phone.

And SE have decided to make this phone with changable covers, not a good idea to me, as it makes the phone look cheap and tacky, plus once you have removed the covers you may discover that the screen becomes very dusty and will have to be cleaned regullary. But apart from that it's fantastic!!! Buy it and you will not be dissapointed!

Great for its time - still pretty good even now3
I bought this in 2006 (for a lot more than it costs now, of course) and it's never let me down - except on memory.

It's compact(ish), the interface is easy to use, it looks good, and the camera is fantastic - especially for indoor shots (there's no flash but picture quality is still very good).

So, what are the pros and cons?

    Pros:
    - Simple to use
    - Good battery life (like most Sony Ericssons)
    - Good looks
    - Great camera (for 1.3 Mp)
    - Cheap (now!)

    Cons:
    - Only 28Mb memory which ISN'T expandable (no card slot)
    - No good for mp3 use. If you're a phone 'n' player combo type of person then this isn't the kit for you

    Overall, a decent moby.

    Easy as a Rubiks Cube2
I have been using the Nokia interface for 5 years and decided to try this Sony Ericsson K510i for a change.

Pros : Looks nice, Good screen, Reasonable Camera, Good battery life.
Cons : Interface is Counter intuative after using Nokia up to now.
Tiny fiddly buttons for big hands.
    Loudspeaker is poor quality.
    Little Memory(not upgradable)

I've had this phone for 5 weeks and have tried hard to get used to the interface software but found it a nightmare. After 5 weeks irritation i'm giving it away and buying another Nokia.
