The BBC TV Series written by Andrew Davies, starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth, is the most faithful adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

Andrew Davies's mini-series, starring David Morrissey, Dominic Cooper, Dan Stevens, Mark Williams, Janet McTeer and Mark Gatiss, can compete with the older version for which Emma Thompson took Oscar.

Both adaptations of Emma are great. However, I prefer Kate Beckinsale in this role. Written by Andrew Davies can't disappoint.

I liked both adaptations of Northanger Abbey. This one with screenplay written by Davies is a pleasant watch.

Starring Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier the film is only loosely based on Austen's text. A light andd pleasant watch.
