You get what you pay for
This battery is much cheaper than the Canon equivalent and would work well for a casual user. I found it wanting as I use it for underwater photography and the battery dies after about 170 photos or for me 1.5 dives, which is about 40-50% of the life of the Canon battery. If you do not mind charging the camera often this does the job a lot cheaper than the OEM but if you like a long lasting battery this is not for you
