About the Author
Dr ROY VAN DEN BRINK-BUDGEN has been engaged in developing assessment and teaching materials in Critical Thinking for almost twenty years. He has taught the subject for eleven years. He is well known for his substantial contribution to the development of both the AS and the A2 assessment from their beginnings, having been Chief Examiner in the subject for many years until 2005 inclusive. In great demand throughout the country to work with staff and students in Critical Thinking, Roy has probably taught more INSETs for teachers than anyone else in the country. His other books on the subject, including Critical Thinking for AS Level, are widely used by students and teachers both in this country and abroad.

Another excellent book for students.
A2 Critical Thinking was the fastest growing A-level last year. It wouldn't surprise me if this book wasn't part of the reason for the growth. It not only provides a really good coverage of the material but (unlike other titles) it makes the subject really interesting. The examples and exercises are always based on real and up-to-date material. The section on ethics provides a very useful guide through some potentially difficult material for the student who isn't studying philosophy. Roy van den Brink-Budgen has written another excellent book for students.
