good lens, high shipping cost
this lens is very good, a polarizer is something you can't do without outdoors on a sunny day; I had to pay however more than £4 for shipping, which seems quite dear

Good filter to start with
I bought it as my first filter for my nikon D40 + 18-55mm. Not knowing a lot about them I bought the low end. Very happy about results, outdoor pictures looks better (nicer colours), if a cheap one does so good I imagine the pro one will be amazing. The lens is 3 stop slower with it. It is very small once mounted, adds 3-4 mm to the total lenght. I'll buy the top end for a new lens as soon as I have money to invest.

Hoya 52mm PL-C
Bought from Amazon - this is the Hoya blue/purple box circular polarizing filter (made in Japan), not the cheaper G (green box) version. Very pleased using this on sunny days, although the effect depends a lot on shooting conditions.
