Too many shoelaces
When I pulled these shoes out of the box they looked absolutely great with lovely subtle colours. Unfortunately wearing them was a different matter. They come with white shoelaces for the inner rings and longer black shoelaces for the outer rings. the problem is that lacing both the inner and outer rings results in a messy plethora of crisscrossing white and black lines, while only lacing the inner rings looks fine while standing still, but the outer flaps move around strangely when you walk. I suppose you could just use the outer black shoelaces, but I prefer the look with white ones.
In summary, the picture looks great, but you can't really wear them like that.
Good style, good value but beware if you have wide feet!!
The Converse range is huge and should suit most people tastes and they are good value for money. Just one thing, beware if you have reasonably wide feet around the area of the foremost lace holes as these shoes do taper in very quickly. I have to buy these in a size larger than normal. They fit perfectly around all my foot except for the fact they are too long (no foot splippage though).
The high heels of the converse world
A question has often come to me over the years....why do women wear high heels?
They certainly aren't comfortable, practical, and the list goes on.
What they do have now is style, 'the look', and makes the wearer feel good about themselves.
I have been wearing converse for a very long time, and although they feel good, and look awesome, they arent always practical.
These Double Ox Converse shoes I must say look very nice, especially the orange laced ones I have. They feel and wear the exact same as any other converse I have owned. The only main difference I guess is the double laces. These do take twice as long to put on, but like the heels I was talking about before, they are worth the extra 10secs because they make me feel better and look cool. I have got a lot of comments about these shoes as they look different and people are intreged by the double laces.
My past converses lifetime is about 10months before they rip into pieces, but these have lasted so far 6months, and have really no signs of wearing. I reckon the 2 layers of material is helping with that. Therefore worth the money if they last longer.
In my opinion as an owner of a pair of these.....buy them if you can. They fit snug on my feet, and they will never come off as they two laces make sure of it. They have that extra edge to them, and look cool. Thats all I can really say.
