Since its conception in 1951, the Knightsbridge Golf School has taught tens of thousands of golfers of all ages and abilities, from the wonderfully talented to the woefully inept. Amazingly, despite a wealth of instructional material and access to the latest teaching technology, golfers of today are no better than they were when the school first opened its doors almost sixty years ago. They still cling hopelessly to the delusion that the next golden tip or instant fix will suddenly and magically transform them from rabbit to Tiger. The Golf Delusion explains that sadly no such tip exists, and outlines a proven, time-tested swing model that guarantees a programme for immediate and sustained improvement.

About the Author
Steve Gould and DJ Wilkinson have more than seventy years teaching experience between them. They both joined the school in the 1970s and studies under the legendary teacher Leslie King, a pioneer of golf swing instruction who founded the Knightsbridge Golf School in 1951. In 1989 Mr King handed the school down to them, and over the past twenty years they have polished his original teachings into a beautifully simple and effective swing model that can be learnt by anyone, regardless of age or ability.

The Golf Delusion: Why 9 Out of 10 Golfers Make The Same Mistakes
I could not put this book down, it's a fascinating read! I have a library of golf instructional books which teach you hardly anything, however I'm now on my 3rd read of The Golf Delusion and I'm learning something new every time. Masterpiece!!!
Ahh so that's how you do it!
Brilliant! A really well laid out book with some extremely easy to follow instruction and helpfull photos. I read this book (and looked at their videos online) and have made a really noticable change to my swing. I've started striking some really sweet shots and I have this book to thank for it. I can't believe no-one else is teaching the golf swing in such a simple manner, it's really not that hard once you know what you're supposed to be doing. I can't reccommend this book enough.
Another success
This book is an invaluable guide to building and maintaining your golf swing. It really does open your eyes to an understanding of the swing plane and the hand position throughout the swing and coming through into a full finish. In addition, one small chapter on the full pitch shot clarified instantly what I had been doing incorrectly in the past.
The book is also a fascinating insight into the history and workings of the golf school.
25 November - as an addition to my original review I must say that as I was recently on a day visit to London I did book myself two half hour slots with Steve Gould primarily to see if I was following the instruction correctly. Of course I was making mistakes but the instruction in the book being very simple if you read it thoroughly, will pay dividends. It was the best hour I have spent and meant I could return home knowing that I could now follow the instruction correctly. I would simply say, buy the book and read it carefully and follow everything slowly and regularly. It does work.
