Editorial Reviews

CD Description
It certainly sounds like the audience is having a spectacular time at this explosive evening. Mixing hits from Michael's OFF THE WALL (which get the biggest screams) with their then-current hits such as "Shake Your Body", "Lovely One", and"Heartbreak Hotel", the Jacksons provide sheer entertainment.
An introduction via video clip of the boys' early-'70sperformance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" leads to the present day brothers breaking in and faux-begging Michael to performthat material--Michael's protestations that "the stuff is old" only adds to the fever which greets him as he performs "I Want You Back", "ABC", and "The Love You Save". The adult Jacksons here tweak their boyhood material, providing an opportunity to hear the group at its best.

06. She's Out of My Life
07. Intro to J5 Medley
08. J5 medley - I Want You Back/ABC/Love You Save
09. I'll Be There
10. Rock With You
11. Lovely One
12. Working Day and Night
13. Don't Stop Till You Get Enough
14. Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)

The album was recorded and released in 1981, just before the release of the legendary Thriller album, and wa recorded on two stops of the Jacksons Triumph Tour. (The Triumph album I highly reccomend, it is arguably the strongest album by The Jacksons)

One thing to note is the absense of older brother Jermaine, who was at Motown at the time as he left the brothers in 1975 and rejoined in 1983. So it is not his voice you hear in the versions of Ill Be There and I Want You Back.

The sound quality is very good for a live concert, and the banter is all included so it really is like you're at the concert.

All together it is an invaluable snapshot of a living legend in the year before he would shoot to Mega-stardom with Thriller.

OMG!!!!5
This is one of the best live albums. The Jacksons show enthusiasm and appreciation for the audience and thus making an amazing performance. The songs are from classic albums from Motown records,Destiny, Off the Wall and many more. This is the last live production that Michael did with his brothers having done his first solo album Off the Wall. The audience become a part of the performance because you can hear their expression whilst they scream which makes anyone wish that they were at the concert themselves. I would definatly reccommend this to any Jackson 5 fan.

Jacksons Live4

I bought this CD after having bought the LP several years ago and being unable to play it anymore.
Its the sort of live CD that you could just shut your eyes and be there.
