Definitive work on Series One construction and components
Long out of print and almost as expensive secondhand as a Series One, its a pleasure to be able to get hold of this legendary volume. If your one of the hardy few to have a Series One then you wont need any encouragement from me to buy this.
James Taylor examines all the versions from 80" to 109" and provides the authorative guide to everything from petrol tank colour to steering box materials so if you have an interest in autheticity or simply Land Rover heritage then this is a must buy. Dont expect lists of part numbers and production runs, the information is presented as a very readable description format and is well illustrated. There are also sections on special equipment and the Brockhouse Trailer.
On the downside you may find out that your 'original' Series One isnt quite as original as you thought - mine is clearly a mongrel!
