The Panasonic KX-TGA641ES is the additional handset and charger for the Panasonic KX-TG642 range. The technology it uses is DECT so this additional handset picks up a digital signal from the original telephones base station and registers to that. Every handset can then pick up calls, ring other handsets internally, and transfer to other handsets on the system.

Useful additional phone
We bought this as an addition to an existing phone network.
The existing phones were PANASONIC KX-TG7224ES, but the product line is discontinued.

These fitted in fine, and the display is superior to the other phones.

The unit is sturdy, full of features, and has long battery life.

The one provisio is that there were no instructions included with the extra handset, and the button needed for internal calls was different. It took quite a bit of hunting around in the panasonic website - with a plethora of handset serial numbers - to find instructions that were applicable to this handset.

I purchased this single handset in addition to a triple handset with answer machine.It is very easy to operate,clear visuals,and menu options are not over complicated.Excellent value for money.

A very good additional handset
I bought this to work with an older Panasonic telephone (KX-TCD240E). It came with no instructions at all, but with the help of the manual for the existing telephone, I was able to register the new handset very easily. It works very well and I have had no problems with it at all.
