Incredible quality for the money
This is a really great headset, with a nice long cable, which has a remote halfway down with volume, mute and webchat buttons.

Installation was non-existent on both Windows and Mac OSX, both of which allow you to select your input/output methods without unplugging the headset, making for an easy life.

The most impressive thing about this product is the quality of sound. The headphones quality is amazing, with great clarity and booming bass, which I particularly benefit from while listening to music and playing games. The headphones themselves have great noise-cancelling qualities, meaning that you will hear nothing from the outside world when using them.

Over the years, I have never been disapponted with a piece of Microsoft hardware, but this headset has genuinely surpassed my expectations. Great value for money, highly reccommended

very good buy
I needed a headset for online tutorials - I'm learning a foreign language - and took a chance on this headset, thinking that if it wasn't very good, then at least I hadn't spent a lot of money.

I found it very good indeed: installation was easy-peasy (just as well, as I'm not very competent or patient in this field). Even better, the quality is surprisingly good, and the cosy fitting earpieces really do stop any outside interference.

I've been looking around for a new headset for a while now. I was slightly unsure on what to expect from this, being a Microsoft item. However it is absolutely amazing! The quality of both the microphone and the headset is top notch. Don't let other reviews put you in, this doesn't come with software and is literally plug-n-play.
