Customer Reviews

an effective manual for communication throughout life.!5
This book is a touchstone for those who want to feel good about themselves in their dealing with others. It is not about winning at any cost, but about clarity, true understanding and negotiation - a genuine "win - win" situation. The author gives objective information that the reader can instantly use. For example; it helps you spot "put downs" or exploitative situations and gives you the tools to turn an awkward situation into an effective, rewarding communication - a manual for life (both y ours and mine!)

Excellent, simple, practical5
As an individual I've got a lot out of this book. As a therapist I recommend it to my clients. Everyone I know who's worked through this has reported benefits! Anne Nicholls

Assert Yourself: A Self-help Assertiveness Programme for Men 1
I do not recommend this book. It taught me very little. The author talks a lot around the subject, teaches little in the way of techniques and gives hardly any examples.
