Great Introduction to NLP3
I've been a big fan of NLP since I read *The Structure of Magic* (the originating text) five years ago. During the intervening period, I've looked high and low for an introduction to NLP sufficiently small and succinct that I could give it to people I thougt would benefit from exposure to NLP...This book is that introduction.

My only criticism is that the text is very light on explaining the "science" behind NLP, which means that analytical readers will be left with a nagging question about whether or not there is any rational basis for accepting NLP premises.

An excellent overview of NLP5
This book provided me with an excellent overview of a concept about which I had limited previous knowledge. While developing a workshop on the topic of those characteristics that seem to come naturally to high performers, I discovered a connection to NLP. Practicing NLP seemed to be the method by which one can embrace the values, attitudes, and principles displayed by high performers. The straightforward, friendly style of writing makes this book accessible to any reader. It is especially useful for business managers who want to use this tried and true method to enhance their team's performance. The techniques of NLP can assist anyone become more effective (and possibly more contented) in their life, work, and relationships. I think most readers will find the content is at a level of detail that supports immediate use of the NLP techniques.

Clears Away the Fog5

It seems like anything that is worth knowing about is bound to be surrounded by jargon - and 'neuro-linguistic programming' (yes, that's what NLP stands for!) is no exception.

When I first read this book I was almost a complete newcomer to NLP, and I didn't really fancy spending hours ploughing through one of the more specialised books (like 'Reframing') only to find out that it was all way over my head.

When I saw the first two reviews for this book I figured it might be just what I was looking for. And I was right.

The author has divided the book into three neatly interlocking parts. First you get a little theory (one chapter), then a dozen chapters on the various NLP techniques, and finally eight chapters on how to apply the techniques in real-life business situations (presentations, appraisals, motivating employees, etc).

Like Marc wrote, this is an ideal introduction to NLP for business people. And like the reader from London wrote, it comes at a very good price :)
