"...the two writers clearly explain how to turn a situation to your advantage..." (easyJet Magazine, February 2005)

From the Inside Flap
Master The Book of Luck′s seven principles and you will find yourself being lucky, always.

1. CONTROL–ABILITY

Control–Ability is about choosing and flexing your response to events and situations that arise, no matter how difficult they may be.

Result? Less blaming the unkind hand of fate and more lucky breaks.

2. STICK–ABILITY

Stick–Ability is about perseverance, tenacity and following things through – even when the odds are against you. It is about finishing off what you start.

Result? Achieving goals no one else thought possible.

3. RISK–ABILITY

Risk–Ability is about having the confidence to take a chance rather than plumping for the safe bet. It means having an open mind and a willingness to think differently.

Result? More lucky opportunities will come your way.

4. SENSE–ABILITY

Sense–Ability means using all your senses and feelings to heighten your awareness of lucky opportunities. It includes making the most of gut feeling and intuition.

Result? Having the confidence to rely on your inner voice.

5. SOCIA–ABILITY

Socia–Ability is the knack of relating easily to other people in a variety of contexts.

Result? More lucky coincidences.

6. PERCEPT–ABILITY

Percept–Ability is all about how you look at life, events, yourself and others. Is your attitude to life optimistic? Do you shrug off (small) worries and concerns? If you do, this is true percept–ability!

Result? The ability to turn bad luck into good.

7. PERSON–ABILITY

Person–Ability is knowing yourself well enough to recognise what works well for you and what can work against you.

Result? Being able to harness all your natural luck skills.

Customer Reviews

Excellent book, definitely worth the read....5
With the need for some good luck I read it. An absolutely fantastic read i enjoyed every minute of it. It was an easy read but at the same time really made me think about different situations in my life and how i could adopt a whole new attitude to gaining a much more positive outcome.I particularly enjoyed the bit about parking your car. Now when i drive into town on a Saturday morning i get my preferred parking spot excellent tip - thank you! I also liked the phone call one now my phone bill is no longer sky high and when it suits me i can have a chat on the phone - fantastic. A really good book for every age. I click your copy now!

Everyone needs to read this to make their own luck4
I took this book on holiday and picked it up to read in bed at 11pm and finally put it down at 2am the following morning. Yes, it is a quick read as the chapters follow the same formula and of course I didn't do all the thinking expected!Until the last chapters of the book it did feel as though I was reading a course on luck...which of course it is. I particularly enjoyed the interviews with the 'great and the good'; obviously well researched and Anne Watson clearly knew and chose her interviewees well. Reading their interviews really inspired me and I ended up leaving the book in the chalet for others to read. I also marked points for my entrepreneurial daughter to read to encourage her in her ski adventure. I also completed the questionaire on line, those who have completed 'pukka' personality questionaires will see some similarities but the feedback was informative and fun and caused quite a debate around the family kitchen table! Well worth buying and handing round the family or better still buy them their own copy for Christmas!

A fantastic and practical book5
I have recently graduated from University and completed a degree which included Psychology. I found the information and ideas in this book better than all my Psychology lectures put together. It's easy to read and - more importantly - suggests really practical things you can do to improve your life. Great personal psychology. Thank you.
