Terrible book and BEWARE of the positive review scam operated by this guy
I would be very careful of buying anything from this guy called Richard La Ruina. I've read this and its plain terrible, stinks of plagiarism to me but hey. I don't like the style in which its written and its obvious that he's fabricated the "zero to here" story.
And as for all the "positive" review, this guy and his company is known for writing fake reviews to make people think its a good product. BEWARE, DO NOT BUY ANY AFFILIATED products.
Become a natural.
The author, a self professed formere geek, hadn't even kissed a girl by age 21, until he taught himself the art of seduction. It seems to have worked well for him and now he teaches the reader how to do it for themselves. You might find, as I did, that some of the techniques might be likened to NLP, but whatever works, works and you can't argue with progress. If you looking to up your game a bit, this is a good bet. I'd recommend it to just about anyone who wants to learn the art of seduction. Another good bet--How To Be The Man Women Want: The Get More Confidence and Meet Better Women Guide To Dating.
All style and no substance.
The vast majority of the reviews on here are likely to be fake. Richard La Ruina the author actually had the cheek to write a review on the mystery method on here, rubbishing it and then praising his own book, and wrote the review as if he was joe public, not realising his name as the name of the reviewer would be published.
The truth is, "The natural art of seduction" is a poor effort and it lacks so much when compared to the mystery method, that it is brazenly dishonest to claim that it is even on a par with it. The mystery method even contains references to respected publications on behavioral and evolutionary psychology and is extremely detailed on every stage of an interatction and the psychological theory behind them.
Richard's company does have some gravitas, with high profile members such as AFC Adam who would be far better equipped in my opinion to produce a book on this subject. However, it strikes me that from what I can gather, Richard LaRuina excells foremost in the marketing of his business, and the way in which he does so leads me to believe that it is highly likely that he wrote a great deal of these reviews himself.
It speaks volumes that people buy "the mystery method" or "the rules of the game" purely on their reputations and the authors do not need to resort to selling their publications for 1p as a means to market their bootcamps and other various high cost products such as PUATRAINING do.
Maybe I'm being a bit unfair but from what I can see neither this book nor any of the other related products seem to have been marketed in a fair and transparent way, and I just don't like being lied to. The book itself is o.k. as it does contain some tried and tested theory, though not in detail and most of which is borrowed from mystery method.
Unfortunately a lot or perhaps the majority of self confessed gurus and organisations in the pua community are out to make money. In short I say, if you aren't too stingy to fork out the extra £7 or whatever it is, get either the mystery method or the more recent "revelations - venusian arts handbook" by the same author, both of which are far, far superior to "the natural art of seduction"
