A good confidence booster4
After wrestling with Phillip Kerman's Flash 8 in 24hrs it was nice to complete a project within 24hrs. This really is Flash spoon-feeding with nice big colour screen grabs and idiot-proof instructions. Don't expect to be a Flash expert after this, use it to help familiarise yourself with the Flash user interface and the steps typical for a basic website project. Helps with understanding workflow, organising site resources and importing multiple movies into one site. Great value, quick to read and easy to follow. A good confidence booster for the beginner!

Impressive!4
I am 14 and i managed to comlete the book very easily, this should give you an idea how easy it is to use this book. The book takes you through making an florist website with easy-to-understand text and pictures showing you what to do. With this book you could get a basic understanding of:
-A flash animated website
-Some simple actionscript
-How to create impressive looking backgrounds in flash
-How to publish the site to the internet using a server
Unfortunately the book doesnt explain what some of the features does so if you want to learn a lot about what actionscript is and what it does in a website i would'nt recommend buying this book. If you are looking for an easy simple step by step guide to making a website buy this book now!

Not Bad for an Intro4
This book was suprisingly good, is quite cheap and covers most of the initial things that can prove daunting if you have never used Flash before. Don't expect too much of it. It takes an example site for a company, and has some simple animations buttons and links but does it in a simple but compelling way. I had foundered a bit with another more detailed text and was getting a bit frustrated but this got me started and now the bigger text seems OK.
