What Goes Up Might Come Down features the high-flying humour of David Gunson. David is a Yorkshireman to the core - and proud of it. He was born in Sheffield (where, he insists, the M1 is cobbled!) and as a young man went to work in a steel foundry, but soon discovered that the opportunities for flying were far too limited. He left and joined the RAF, spending ten years in Coastal Command on Shackleton aircraft. He is thus well qualified to take us behind the scenes in the world of flying, and, with tongue very much in cheek, his 'after dinner talk' skillfully combines humour with hazard, raising many a laugh - and many an eyebrow. Dave Gunson's humour is based on fact, often mischievously, as with a wry smile he informs us that, "We force them down narrow corridors, thereby greatly increasing the risk of collision, while at the same time justifying the job of Air Traffic Controllers to keep them apart." BMG. 2004.

Why I'd never fly!5
David Gunson is truely brilliant in this classic after dinner speech.

Far better than most comedians, this dry satirical look at one of the most vital things in the world, had me laughing until it hurt!

The funniest part of it all, is that it isn't a great leap of faith to believe it is all 100% true!

Enjoy.

fly Air Gunson! it's hilarious5
One day whilst lying on a sunbed in Cyprus I noticed that the man under the next parasol was chuckling incessantly, his walkman obviously keeping him amused.

The flight back home and all those since have not been the same because when he finally removed his headphones I enquired and he lent me the tape; David Gunson's after dinner speech about air traffic control, pilots and the aircraft they are responsible for.

That was quite some years ago, but I have never forgotten the hilarious tale of the French controllers going on strike and the British holidaymakers flying to Spain travelling over Germany and Italy.

I was ever so pleased to find that it was now available on CD. Listen to this and it will change your concept of air travel forever!

EXTREMELY FUNNY after dinner speech5
I first heard this "after dinner speech" around 20 years ago and it still tops my list of "brilliant humour" all these years later. Put simply, it's extremely funny, well presented and also interesting because of all the facts about Air Traffic Control.
Well worth buying a copy !!!
