Philip’s Smartimer® Technology encourages Doctor recommended 2-minute brushing time Your Philips HX6902/10 Soincare toothbrush comes with smartimer, which encourages 2-minute brushing as recommended by dental professionals. The Smartimer automatically stops your Sonicare toothbrush after the dentist-recommended brushing time of 2 minutes has elapsed. If you switch the toothbrush off at any time during the brushing cycle, for instance to rinse or apply more toothpaste, the Smartimer interrupts its timing and resumes where it left off when you switch the appliance back on again. Although a 2-minute brushing session is recommended for optimal results, you can always stop or restart the toothbrush at any time by pressing the power button. Wow !
Had an older sonicare toothbrush (about 3 yas old), which at the time i thought was superb....... then i bought this. Its unbelievable. I wondered whether it would be worth the money, and it is. After every time i use it im amazed at how clean my teeth feel. My whole mouth just feels great.
If you've never bought & sonic toothbrush & especially a sonicare one from phillips i strongly reccomend you to get this as its superb !

Great toothbrush - but...
I was given one of these for Christmas. The toothbrush itself is great once you get used to it. Teeth feel really clean. HOWEVER, beware two points: 1) Philips make many different models all with confusing numbers and many different brush heads which are not all compatible with the different numbers. The number of the model is not written on the toothbrush, so once you have thrown away the box and you set off to buy new heads, you will be bamboozled by the choice and difficulty of choosing the correct one. They are also hard to find in most shops and may have to be specially ordered. 2) The replacement heads are REALLY EXPENSIVE.

To anyone thinking of buying one of these, unless you have been recommended it by a dentist, I would consider buying Braun/Oral B who seem to have a much more co-ordinated and affordable approach.

Does the job well
Compared to my old Braun, this toothbrush is the business. It feels professional and cleans very well. 5 Stars always seems excessive but I have no complaints. My teeth are nice and clean.
