There are two good reasons for buying this disc - one the music, two the performance.

The Clarinet Quintet is widely regarded as the crowning achievement of Bliss's compositional talents - and you won"t get a better performance of it than on this disc.

I have listened through several times and there has been no disappointment with the repeated listening.

The String Quartet was new to me and a great revalation.

Forget any lighter pieces you may know- this is top class music!
