Maybe if you didn't skip passages you'd enjoy it??????5
Don't talk back to your vampire is a great sequal to I'm the vampire that's why.

Eva is the local librarian and single mom of 15 year old Tamara the Goth Marilyn Manson fan... Her daughter's hanging out with a teen vampire slayer, she has a wild crush on Lorcan the Vampire who killed her and her Wolf Lucky has just gone missing... could things get any worse?

I loved this book (and I didn't skip any passages) I liked Eva and her quirky word games, I liked her daughter too (and her Vampire hunting boyfriend) and I liked Lorcan the tortured (by his own guilt)

If you enjoyed the first book read this one it's well worth it, if you haven't read the first book... you don't have to read it first but I would.

"Ever since a master vampire became possessed and bit a bunch of parents, the town of Broken Heart, Oklahoma, has catered to those of us who don't rise until sunset - even if that means PTA meetings at midnight.
As for me, Eva LeRoy, town librarian and single mother to a teenager daughter. I'm pretty much used to being "vampified". You can't beat the great side effects: no crow's-feet or cellulite! But books still make my undead heart beat - and, strangely enough,so does Lorcan the Loner. My mama always told me everyone deserves a second chance. Still, it's one thing to deal with usual undead hassles: rival vamps, rambunctious kids adjusting to night school, and my daughter's new boyfriend, who's a vampire hunter, for heaven's sake. It's quite another to fall for the vampire who killed you..."

The first book I read by Michelle Bardsley "Don't Talk Back to Your Vampire" was absolutely wonderful and a hilarious read. So I bought this second book, expecting it to be written in the same spirit. It would be a mistake to say that the book is awful. There is a story to follow, but not a strong one and I found myself being bored and skipping passages quite frequently. Nothing was surprising It's an ok read but not a book I am ever going to read again.

The biggest and most angering part of this book was the author promoting another author's: Mary Janice Davidson's newest published book. I found it extremely agitating, unpleasant, unsubtle and just TOO commercial.

Give it a shot though.... everything said above is merely my personal opinion, you might enjoy the book greatly. It is all a matter of taste.
