richard cipher our hero for this tale a simple woods guide for whom fate has a less than simple future
in book 1 (needs to be read first) he meets kahlan amnell mother confesor and most powerful woman in the midlands and ends up ruling D'hara enemy of the midlands i wont say more as you either already know or i dont want to spoil it anymore than I have

in the second book we find richard none to comfey with his new role and we are introduced to a common theme throughout the series. Richard and Kahlan meet the challenge, only to find the solution creats a new and usualy worse problem
I am not knocking it just saying it happens alot

great book to follow a great first book gripping story quite funny at times has many things in common with the wheel of time books (robert jordan) there not the same they just have a lot of parallels if u like 1 theres a good chance you will like the other
mite re-read them myself :)

In summary well worth a read
