Excellent Book
The book consists of lots of short talks, remarks and instructional comments made by the zen master Dogen. If you can't face reading the "monumental" Shobogenzo then this work provides an excellent insight into Soto Zen Buddhism without the "great philosophical subtleties". I've read the book several tiems and feel I will refer to it frequently in the future.
