Customer Reviews

Academic, yet fun5
This book has its faults - the quality of the mono pictures is low, and it perhaps could do with a slight update in some chapters. But it's written by someone with a passion for the subject who isn't just some idiot stoner who likes boasting about getting ripped. There are plenty of facts and figures, and even diagrams about molecules - which isn't as daft as it sounds, as some people appreciate knowing what they might be about to put into their system. I would say this is worth considerably more than a lot of trip reports on erowid.org, though I can see that others won't wish to shell out a lot on a book.

Outstanding!5
This is a comprehensive guide through classic ethnogens. It describes the history behind the key players within psychedelics/euforicants from the plant and laboratory. If you seek knowleage about any mind altering drug this may be the best way to start. Here you get the backgroud - has been very helpfull for me.

A must for any psychedelic libary! - Sincerly with love

A soon to be classic5
A wonderful book for all interested in botany, ethnobotany, medicine, religion and anthropology. It is clearly laid out, describing all the major groups of psychoactive chemicals and plants. As a university botany student, I would highly recommend this book. My best purchase this month!
