Customer Reviews

Repetative... already available in author's previous books1
If you've read one Gyatso book, you've read them all. Before reading this volume, I read the author's Introduction to Buddhism, and discovered considerable overlap. How many times can he say the same thing? Well, in the case of this author, more than twice. Much of the material here is also repeated (in many cases, verbatim) in his other books (i.e.: The New Meditation Handbook, How To Solve Our Human Problems, etc.).

With all of this repetition, it is apparent the author has little to say on the subject of Dharma with his relentless recycling of the same thoughts. If you really want to know his take on the subject of Buddhism, just buy one of the above named titles and save yourself some money.

However, if someone is really interested in Buddhism, seek out genuine mainstream authors, such as the Dalai Lama or any publication from the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT).
