Editorial Reviews
Album Description
Long before the raw power of punk icon Iggy Pop became legend, his first incarnation as Iggy Stooge of proto-punk trailblazers The Stooges roared into being. The essence of punk years before the genre existed, The Stooges' furious music was a howling, visceral, fuzztone-drenched, and unprecedented vortex of sound, as evidenced on their revolutionary self-titled, John Cale-produced 1969 debut album. Their bracing follow-up, Fun House portrayed their evolution into a fiercer, stronger band with Iggy's primal vocals and mad brilliance more potent than ever. Each immortal album is now remastered and twice as amazing with a second disc of rarities and previously unreleased tracks.

best album ever recorded ??
if carlesberg were going to record an album it would probably sound like this nuff said
The best rock album ever! Enter the Fun House.....
Best tracks: "Dirt", "Loose", "Down on the Street", "T.V Eye".
Fun House is, without exception, the greatest rock `n' roll album ever made. Their first album is good, and Raw Power is great, but Fun House is the real deal, a great time, a full-on experience, a total blast. It's sexy, it's dumb, it's genius, it rocks, it grooves, it seduces, it makes me laugh, and if there's any side in rock and roll history better than Fun House's A-side, let me know. The terrific B-side has the all-out rock charge of `1970', the killer groove of the title track and the apocalyptic waste of `LA Blues', but the first side is where you'll hear the strut of `Down on the Street', the unashamed libido-gone wild of `Loose', the ultimate proto-punk drive of `TV Eye' and the deliciously decadent, deliriously seductive `Dirt', which is arguably the best song here and one that I can listen to again and again. The bonus tracks are irrelevant, but that doesn't matter, as they're tucked away on another disc; the original album is all you'll ever need.
Rough and Raw album that Influenced hundreds!
Now dont listen to the below reviewer who spouts rubbish, this album may not be as tecnhically good as Sabbath or Zeppelin but for its influence and its down and dirty sound (rivalled only by Funkadelic or James Brown at the time) is not to be forgotten.
The album with 3 piping hot numbers (Down on the Street,Loose, and T.V EYE respectively) which hit you over the head with a guitar while iggy pop trips you up with a mic stand. T.V Eye in particular is incredible with its manic impactful opener of Iggy screaming "LOOOORRRRRD!" coupled with Ron Asheton's (contrary to the below reviews) incredibly streamlined and intense guitar riff, make this an iconic classic of 70's rock.
The album does stray from the afforementioned songs in the second half however although Dirt and 1970 are both psychadelic and enjoyable the other songs are crippled for me by the presense of the kingsmens saxophoner. This may well enhance the music for many but not for me.
But that aside this album is a classic and a must own to any self respecting Muso or Rocker. Iconic.
