Buy new: £2.31 / Used from: £2.30 Depending on whether you've picked up on Minekura's darker themes in her excellent Saiyuki, you might be surprised at WA's almost total bleakness. I admit, I cried. Yaoi hints, if you squint. (I did)

Buy new: £2.05 / Used from: £6.58 The first time you read this, you'll think it's awful. Endure, though, and you'll realise just how fantastic it is. The best yaoi to be licensed for 2007, full stop. It's hilarious, and sexy as hell.

Buy new: £6.49 If you thought Monster was ambitious, then, well, you were right, but this sprawling saga is truly impressive. Obviously fantastic, as it's Urasawa Naoki, even if the end's a long time coming.

Buy new: £5.89 / Used from: £3.24 Not the best this mangaka's ever done, and nowhere near as good as Antique Bakery, but still. Decent, original yaoi, admittedly with some dubious consent. Beware: *totally* unromanticised sex ahoy.

Buy new: £3.71 / Used from: £7.79 It's Yoshinaga Fumi. I *know* it's Yoshinaga Fumi, and so it hurts me to say: don't buy this manga. This, along with Flower of Life, just isn't very good. Fine if you're a completist, but otherwise...

Buy new: £2.51 / Used from: £2.48 Mizushiro Setona! Be still my heart. Sadly, it's a wave goodbye to the old art (sometimes ugly; always expressive), now rather more polished. Still gorgeous, though, and the story's wonderful too.
