Customer Reviews

Great bikes, shame about the DVD.1
I recieved this disc with great anticipation, as a dyed in the wool Triumph nut. What a dissapointment! The film starts with the manager of Triumph Bruno Tagliaferri introducing the history of the re-born Triumph marque, fair enough, Bruno's a nice chap and he's done a great job at Hinckley. Unfortunatley the film jumps between Brunos' promotional video and a really second-rate potted history of the old Triumph company, with hand-held video shots at the recently burnt-down National Motorcycle Museum. These segments are truly dreadful, the commentator struggling to string his words together. These sections are of absolutly no interest whatsoever, the out of focus shots (they should have given the poor lad a tripod at least!) become really annoying after a few minutes.

There's an amusing section later on with the wobbly camera man "interviewing" proud Triumph owners at the National Rally, there's so much background noise you can hardly tell what's being said.I started to laugh out loud when after the owners described their bikes the "cameraman" neglected to show any of them!

If you are thinking of buying this disc to find out anything about Triumph Motorcycles, don't! The only possible reason I can see for having this is if you are an obsessive enthusiast who must have everything Triumph Motorcycles has been associated with. I love Triumphs ancient and modern and I wouldn't buy it (again). Fortunatly the bikes are far better than the video. You have been warned!
