While we have been unable to trace any race footage from his first win the 1977 Jubilee TT and the 1984 Formula One, the incredible film we have located charts a TT record which is unlikely ever to be bettered. It shows Joey as a young charger, challenging and beating stars like Mick Grant and Roger Marshall, the big bike glory years when Joey scored six F1 wins in a row and his domination of the 125cc and 250cc classes in the 1990s. We are reminded of how Yer Maun overcame injury, horrendous weather, a missing exhaust and even a sunken boat to claim victory after victory, and stunned the racing world in 1995 when, as a 43-year-old, he won the Senior TT on the Honda RC45 his first big bike win for almost a decade.
