I did the usual research before buying this phone: compared prices, looked at reviews, and so on. Requirements were: quadband (I travel), small, good battery life (travel again), robust, and pay as you go. This was the only one that met all requirements.

The Sony Ericcson music options were a bonus - 2GB storage card gives plenty of music choice, and the supplied headphones are very nice to use. Sound quality and ease of use is really great, my MP3 player is redundant.

The camera is OK - not a big feature for me but this one works just fine for snapshots and short videos.

This is a very well-designed phone, beautifully constructed and easy to use. Some people think the buttons are too small, but for me they are fine, and structured so well they are easy to use in the dark. It is surprisingly small, but solid and the alloy casing is very strong.

I did want a case to protect the screen and lenses, but with such a small phone this was a challenge - so I use a microfibre bag designed to hold a small Benchmade pocket knife, which is just great. You will have to work out something similar.

Overall, I think this phone is really a good purchase: it does everything I need and adds a lot of extras, in a beautiful package.
