Value for the Money!
This is my absolute favorite! It is slim and light, fits in any pocket (jacket or jeans), and the battery is enough for a week (if you don't talk all the time, naturally).
However, I use it mainly to take calls and I don't use any functions apart from calling and txt messages. It allegedly has a radio and camera but I have never tried to use either and I don't think I ever will. You can browse the internet with it but although the screen is fairly big and bright I would not recommend it too seriously unless you need a weather forecast or currency exchange rates. It does have games as well but if you're choosing your mobile to play games, how 'bout getting a life?
Very decent materials, after three months of using not a trace of wear and tear. Nokia software is a league of its own but then if you had one Nokia you move on to the next and you don't look at others. And you don't need anyone trying to convince you how good it is. I have always asked for the cheapest Nokia there was and I have never complained.
This is a phone for adults - you won't impress anyone with it. If you think your sex appeal needs some accessorizing, you may not find this one your perfect choice. In other words - if you need a phone, it is the perfect choice. If you need a lot of other stuff as well, it probably is not.
Not for me.
Bought this phoneNokia 2630 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black/Silver on-line direct from Vodaphone shop with SIM and only arrived yesterday (11/07/08). Most disappointed. I agree entirely with everything that Ford Ka has said but it is just too small for me with limited dexterity.
OK they do publish dimensions, but the thinness caught me out. Only wanted a 'phone to replace a Nokia 3210 which I had broken, but thought having a camera might be useful if involved in or witnessed accident or crime, so tried looking for simple device that also had camera.
Impossible to find one without at least some of the other gizzmos that are currently in vogue, so went for the cheapest Nokia as have good reputation and I am familiar with the now famous Nokia menu system.
Whist the display is fine the overall 'phone is just too small. The display is fine but the buttons are lousy. They feel as if they are all formed on one membrane, are small and difficult to see. I have relatively small hands and it took me ages to set up the basic 'phone functions because I kept accidentally pushing adjacent buttons.
This 'phone appears fine for youngsters running about and using all the latest features, which I haven't tried, but it just is not for the more mature who basically want just a 'phone.
Cheap and not cheerful
This neat little mobile does not do all it says on the package. The email does not connect neither does the internet save favorites as supposed to. You cannot change the home page. The radio comes on by itself using precious battery life. May as well bought a plain mobile that does calls and text. Was given to believe this is suitable to use with the TomTom only to find it is not compatible. Really disappointing
