powerchimp charger
as the iphone 3gs is very heavy on power. this is a brilliant charger to carry around in your pocket. i was supprised to find a great deal of phone adaptors in the package which i thought was good value for the money and would reccommend this product to anyone who like myself needs extra juce.
Important you read this
I have saved myself from writing this review while I used the device for a couple of weeks to get some cycles in those rechargeable batteries.
This product is great in two ways (hence the 2 stars) the concept of being stuck without juice and being able to just run in a garage or something to pick up some AA's if im out of charge seemed a great idea. So one star there. The second star if for the amount of adapters you get with it and the fact its cheap.
The fun stops there. This device is TERRIBLE at charging anything. I read that the provided batteries were very poor so I bought some Energiser 2000mah batteries (x4) I would then charge these up through the device. Now when I wanted to charge my phone, using both (yes both!) sets of batteries I could add about 25% power to my phone, thats it, both sets go dead. Now I have read that 2750 mah are better, but I have spent over £23 already on this and im not wasting another £13 to find out that they die just as quick. I was testing these using a HTC Magic and a friends Samsung phone who experienced exactly the same.
I guess you get what you pay for and id rather have spent my money on something a little more dedicated now I guess. The device gets awfully hot when charging up and this to me is wasted energy. It just doesnt work. I personally, would save your money and put it to something a little better (if its critical to you that you need power to your phone (like me!))
If you do buy, dont say I diddnt warn you...
