A brilliant guide to passing your driving test
This kit contains everything you need to pass your driving theory test and can also contribute towards your understanding of the driving practical test, although you will still need to have lessons with a qualified instructor. This product is, however, an excellent way of supporting, revising and building upon the knowledge and skills you will pick up in driving lessons, and I suspect will be very useful for those who are trying to pass their driving test or anyone who simply wants to revise their knowledge of safe, efficient driving and the rules of the road.

The component that I felt was most useful was the CD-rom which can be used to practise theory questions, and you will be surprised at how these are exactly like those used in the real test, from the diagrams used to the exact wording of the questions. The hazard perception tests are also very useful because there is no other way to practise how the test works, and I'm sure that your skill at hazard perception will increase significantly if you practise a few times using this. Also useful are the other materials such as the highway code book, which is an essential tool for any driver, a workbook which offers a paper alternative to the CD-rom, the videos which revise practical driving skills and two L-plates which can be used in driving lessons.

All in all it is a very generous package which is very reasonably priced. Depending on which aspects of the theory test you need to improve, you will use some of the different materials provided more than others, but the package is much cheaper than buying more than a couple of the components seperately and it is likely that you will need to use most of them at least a few times. I would definitely recommend the package to anyone who is planning on doing the theory and practical driving tests and I suspect it will significantly improve your chances of passing if you spend enough time soaking up all the relevant information, which will boost your confidence in the tests. Highly recommended.

It really IS a complete kit!
From the makers of Driving Test Success this Complete Learner Driver Kit is just that. It comes complete with many useful items and offers such as over £300 worth of motoring related vouchers and a low cost insurance option for new drivers. There is a guide booklet outlining the essentials of learning to drive and how to get the most from this kit.

You also get a genuine hard copy Highway Code, not just a software version, and a D1 Provisional Driving License application form - saves a trip to the Post Office! There is a Theory Test workbook to carry around with you which contains official DSA theory test questions, and software to allow you to take mock theory tests on your computer. Other software allows Hazard Perception tests and contains official DSA video clips.

Also included is software to turn your computer into a Practical Simulator - this won't do away with the need for professional instruction but will give you the chance to practice the skills you learn during lessons. It is 3D and very helpful; not like driving in Grand Theft Auto! Finally, there is even a pair of magnetic L plates included, which meet the Dept of Transport regulations.

Amazon has provided a very comprehensive description of this product which will tell you much more about what is included. At the time of writing Amazon are offering this kit at about half price - around £15 - which makes it very good value indeed. This combination of quality and price make this a five star product without doubt. Highly recommended for anyone starting out on their driving career.

Very helpful
I definitely benefited from using this pack. For starters, it comes with magnetic L plates, which are infinitely better than adhesive ones - if your family, who can already drive, share the car you're learning to drive in, they can take off the plates as they please but everyone knows that when you've got L plates on, people cut you up.

I'd already passed my theory by the time I got this pack, but the theory practice booklet was a great help for my brother in passing his. The hazard testing part of the CD was useful too, although I admit I didn't try out the training for the practical test part, since I'm dubious as to how helpful a computer program can be for the real thing.
