The inside track and specialist guide5
This is the first book I have read from cover to cover in one sitting - I was on a long haul flight. It was an easy read but it was compelling because step by step it built a surprisingly deep thesis. The structure is great: the cool cat; buzzy bee and wise owl analogies are a very powerful set of images. The sub-topics are also well organised and presented, each building on the previous one. I love all the practical tips. I also like the conversational "fireside personal chat" tone of it - one feels a close rapport with the authors, who are always humble, never patronising. It is a book that is there to help, never to insult. There are also some great intercultural aspects and examples.

It is hard to criticise it. At times I thought some items were a little obvious - but as an HR Director I would be worried if it was all a revelation.

Overall it is a first class work which has very wide appeal and accessibility. If anyone has any doubts of the merits of networking this should convince them.

Networking,some new insights 5
I came across the joint Author Stuart Lindenfield in an article on networking in the Financial Times. The piece called " the right way to reach the right people " sums up what this book is all about. The easy to read style conceals fascinating insights and a well structured approach for networking at all levels.
An entertaining read and a useful reference for the business bookshelf. For me some aspects of networking yet to be explored .

completely demystifies the art of networking5
A great book - it completely demystifies the art of networking, and offers practical advice on how to make the most of networking situations. In particular, I appreciated the fact that the book broke things down into the three aspects that come into play when networking... cool cat, buzy bee and wise owl, each of which come together to make for successful networking.
