A bit flimsy
Essentially you're buying ten articles that you could pick up in any business magazine for ready reference. Most of these consist of a reminder to do something, with no real indication of how you might improve your ability to do it. Since, presumably, your interest in the book was to improve the way you network, this strikes me as something of a limitation.

A must if you're in the people business!
Networking has been given such a bad name by those who use it in the most inappropriate ways! Donna Fisher's book "Power Networking" elevates the idea of networking back to the lofty place where it belongs! Donna's idea of building a network of friends, acquaintances and business associates by first being of service to others is a lesson we could all learn! Talk about dynamite stuff that is "real world" effective ... this book has it! If you want to improve the quality of your life, both professionally and personally, then this book is packed with many, many ideas that will enrich your every day! Thank you Donna Fisher for an awesome and dynamic approach to a much abused skill. You bring honor to the techniques of networking!

After listening to the audio tape, I went back and bought the book - so that I could refer back to the great tips and action plans identified throughout. Not only for networking, but great tips to enhance your overall professional image and career.
