Seminal Sounds for Mods + Non-Mods Alike5
This is an excellent repackaging and expansion of a legandary late 1970s live album, with the 15 tracks of the original '79 release being joined here by a further 24 of equal quality!!!! The inlay folds out into a fab poster with lots of background info on the event which, with the help of some good photos & images, kind of bring it alive to the reader/listener. Whilst I'm a 'quasi-mod' the tunes here would definetely appeal to a much wider audience - these bands trailblazed for much of what has happened in more mainstream commercial music in the 1980s and 90s. It's a crime that they continue to be pigeon-holed. Go on be adventurous and treat yourself! :-)

Mods Mayday5
Well..Tried to find them all elsewhere but no luck.I found this on Amazon and this is the real deal!.Mods Mayday is late 70's Mod at its best.Anyone who had the vinyl will tell you what a blinder it is.The Cd version is even better.Sound quaility is excellent and it has all the revival classics.Kicks off on a high with"Its a Mod Mod world" and continues through to the anthem that is "Time for Action"!!!Filled out in between with total mod classics. Its a total steal and will give any ex mods an amazing feeling of being back there again!10/10 .Now where did i put my parka???............

Mods Mayday 1979 Live - the return of the Catalyst4
At last - someone has had a spark of genius in re-releasing this milestone album. The release back in '79 at the beginning of the Mod revival heralded groups like Secret Affairs, Purple Heart, The Chords and many more to an audience of adulecants thirty for more.
This is truly a landmark album, for all who where around the Mod Revival at that time. Listen to the tracks, close your eyes and you are there - in the midst of the sweaty crowd, spilling your pint as the music commands you.
An hosest, bare bones live recording of tremendous tracks by hard working groups on the edge of stardom, that will happily transport you back to the days where angry young men ruled the streets, and when two stroke was the aftershave of the chosen.
