Very limited choice of the videocards to run on.
Cannot say anything about the game, but it is only available for ATI and nDivia latest video cards. Call of Duty is running happily on my machine, but this game does not run even the driver was upgrated. I think the game has been produced in a hurry and the company does not care about the computability.
Not as good as the original
I was extremely excited to play this game, considering how good the first call of duty game was. Im sorry to say that I was disappointed, the game tries to surpass its predecessor and does a bad job at it. There is too much going on at the same time, you cant die easily, you just duck for a minute and your energy comes back, its difficult to tell the difference between your own guys and the Germans, the missions are not as exciting and realistic as the first game.
Disappointing (PC review)
Well had i not have played Moh Pacific assault before playing CoD 2 i most likely would have agreed with the other reviewers. I feel compelled to compare the two games since they were out roughly the same time. Pacific assault is in every way superior to this game, gameplay, graphics, level design, sound and game length, the menus are as bland as the original Cod so when compared to P.A it falls very short, visually it doesnt look that much of an improvement over the original, except the effects are much much better and the player detail is actually very nice when set to full. You certainly dont get the swaying trees and grass etc... of other games made in the same year like farcry and P.A.
The over all feel of the game kind of gave me the feeling that it was more of an advanced addon pack to CoD rather then a stand alone game. I also managed to complete it in a weekend without trying to hard either. On the plus side the removal of the save game option isnt a problem as the game auto saves quite often and very rarely do you ever have to back track a long way. Also the removal of a health bar isnt as lame as it sounds. Infact i actually quite liked it at the end of the game.
To be as fair as i can about CoD 2, if youve never played medal of honor - pacific assault then this game does get 5 stars, but comparing it to its rival it just doesnt cut it. If your looking for the ultimate war first person shooter then bypass this game and go straight for pacific assault. Its even better then MoH airborne which has just been released. I just hope that cod 4 will be a huge improvment, im sure it will be better then airborne with its lousy 6 missions.
