Requires The Sims: 2, The Sims 2: Special DVD Edition to play

In The Sims 2 University players for the first time will play through the new "young adult" life stage as their Sims head off to university and join the campus crowd. Whether they live in the halls or rush a fraternity or sorority that`s just the beginning... Sims can choose from one of 11 courses and by keeping their grades on track, they`ll secure a final degree and open up 4 new career paths. Players will enjoy all-new university based wants and fears that are tied to their Sims` social life and academic goals which will lead to new rewards and powers that will help them achieve their goals and aspirations in university and beyond.

Pranks, parties and university social interactions add to the excitement while your Sims explore campus locations such as university lounges, pool halls, gyms and coffee houses. As in real life, if your Sims start running low on funds, they can earn Simoleans by picking up a part time job, like tutoring, or engaging in riskier affairs like printing money as a member of the "secret society." Of course, making the right decisions can lead your Sim to the ultimate goal of becoming "Big Sim on Campus" in The Sims 2 University.

Excellent new twist to the original Sims 24
Sims 2 by itself is a great game to play which can easily wittle away hours of your time. However, with the addition of this expansion pack it adds a couple of nifty new features to the original. Such as:

-> Several more career paths(paranormal, natural scientist, show business).
-> More clothing for the age groups as well as the new young adult group.
-> University campus areas.
-> The ability to unlock six wants instead of the original four when graduating and the ability to lock two of these rather than the one.
-> New life long aspiration objectives which allow your sim to increase their aspiration level to gold for the rest of their lifetime.
-> New influencing bar that allows a sim with many friends to become more influential and persuade other sims to do certain actions.
-> More objects (pool table, variety of exercise machines, and musical instruments for example).
-> New interaction options such as pillow fight and ventrilofart.
-> Can create custom campus areas in a similar fashion to the original custom neighbourhoods.
-> Computer Generated Sims. Upon entering university accomodation the player can select a dorm room for their sim and the remainder which don't have player created sims moving in will be filled with computer generated sims to interact with (these sims can follow you back into the neighbourhood once the player's sim graduates as well).

All in all a great expansion pack and enough features to make it worth the money and increase your Sims 2 playing time.

New Life for The Sims 2 - Literally!5
So, here we are. The Sims 2 has already sold millions of copies worlwide and set a record for becoming the fastest selling PC game of all time. So, just a few months after it's release it's no suprise to find the expansion packs are already starting to kick in. The first of what's sure to be many, "University" expands the game in a big way and the enhancements and new additions are well worth the money. As the name suggests, in this expansion you have the ability to send your sims (when they are in the teenage stage of life) off to College/University to study a degree and hopefully make thier future adult life a better one. When you first run your new, improved and expanded game you'll select a University Campus to visit and send your Sims too. There are a variety of campus' on offer to begin with and you can also build your own from scratch. These campus sites provide the base for the college experience. On them you'll find Coffee Shops, Music Concert Halls, Libraries and many other locations. Your sims can visit all of these places and they work much in the same way the "Community Lots" worked in the original game.

But the real fun part of the expansion for me was the new objects, clothes and gameplay that's on offer. One particular fun new addition is the ability to join a "Greek House". You'll have to flatter the ego's of the often difficult members but if you get in your sims can live a real college dream. Another really great aspect is the ability to join a band! You can even create a household of Sims from scratch and turn them into a band if you wish. There's a funky new style to decorate your rented house, dorm or greek house with and lots of really great items. Throwing Parties is fantastic fun - you can host a Sports Party for your sims and thier friends to watch the latest boxing match or other event (You now recieve the Sims Sports Channel on your TV) or throw a greek-themed affair complete with toga's! Again, brilliant fun. With "The Sims 2: University" the creators have once again created a world of possibility for us lucky gamers to explore. There really is so much to find and explore and enjoy it's hard not to fall in love with the game. The expansion keeps all of the game's original charm and adds something very exciting to the mix. For players of "The Sims 2" this is a great addition and to people who've yet to experience the game at all, "University" signals a great time for you to buy both original and expansion and get in on the action. Until the "Nightlife" expansion hits shelves in the Autumn, this should tied Sims fanactics over through the long, hot Summer.

Brilliant!!!5
P>It's absolutely brilliant. There's so much more to do. There's 3 types of University to choose from and they're really good. You choose a Major and it shows you 3 jobs it helps towards and the skills you need. It's not too hard to get good grades and each time you complete a semester (there's 8), as long as your rating is good, you get a grant for the next semester. My Sim had a full rating for her first semester and she got 1,200 simoleons.

There's loads more objects, skins, wants and fears, including ones that help towards your new 'influence' meter. You can now combine 2 households as long as it doesn't exceed 8 sims. You can also play the teenage NPC's if you put them into University and once they've graduated you can put them into their own houses in the game, or combine them into another lot.

The dorms are brilliant as there are loads of other NPC's wandering about and your sim is more forward in talking to other people. There's also plenty of objects to help them increase their cooking skills, mechanical, etc.

Earning extra money is also easy, you just go to the coffee shop or bar, click on the sim working there, select 'serve drinks' or 'serve coffee' and your sims changes into the uniform. They get paid by the hour so you can decide how long they work for.

There's coffee shops, gyms (with loads more equipment), parks, Student Unions, etc, for your sim to visit. You can now also buy mobile phones, hand held games, etc.

Your sims now have lifetime wants which will put them into platinum for the rest of their lives. One of my sims wanted 6 grandchildren and the other wanted to reach the top of the Police career. You can also have more than 2 sims talking at once.

I only played it last night for about 3 hours and I'm hooked! I was getting bored of playing The Sims 2, now I've got something to play again!

For those that want to know, the next expansion pack is out in the Autumn and is called 'Nightlife'. You can go to bars, pubs, restaurants, nightclubs, etc. The flyer shows a female Sim with Vampire teeth so maybe they also include new types of Sims and skins too.

I hope this helped! If you haven't already bought this game, buy it now!
