About the Author

andrew w. lo is a group professor of finance at the mit sloan school of management and director of mit's laboratory for financial engineering. he is founder and chief scientific officer of alphasimplex group llc, a quantitative investment management company. he is a co-author of the econometrics of financial markets and a non-random walk down wall street. jasmina hasanhodzic is a research scientist at alphasimplex group llc, where she develops quantitative investment strategies. her work has been published in the journal of investment management and institutional investor's alpha magazine.

A load of experience
I enjoyed reading the book as it makes you feel as if you are participating in a group discussion with experts -especially the later chapters . In that process you pick up gems of wisdom which help you ( at least me) to refine your own trading style and achieve better results. The most valuable advice being given by all is to preserve your capital against massive losses to enable you to stay in the game.
It does not teach anything new to technicians ( it's not a manual) yet helps you to clear your mind and sharpen your individual market approach.
