Manufacturer's Description

Cluedo

It's the party everyone’s dying to attend and the mystery you love to solve again and again is now even more intense. Cluedo is back with a modern twist: a soiree at a millionaire mogul’s mansion turned deadly, and you must find out who is responsible for murdering the host. There’s no Revolver or Billiard Room this time… but could it have been Scarlet with the Dumbbell in the Spa? Open up the tabloid--style instructions to get the scoop on the updated rooms, weapons, and guests. A deck of Intrigue Cards adds suspense to your game with cards that can help you solve the crime faster… or even result in a second victim. Narrow down which rumours are true and which are just hearsay -- and get caught up in the scandal of the century.

The Guest List
Kasandra Scarlet She is at the center of every social event and is the hottest star on the movie scene

The Millionaire Mogul is Missing

    Family of games5
we got this game for Christmas, absolutely love it!!! Have lost many an afternoon playing, this is a million times better than the old version, lots of great twists with intrigue cards. Just a shame that the characters have lost their titles , we still like to use them. A great family game that even teenagers enjoy playing with you.

    Brought back the memories4
I bought this for my daughters 9th birthday and the memories came flooding back! The concept is the same but the board, cards, markers, instructions, everything really is so much more stylish and really trendy! Some of the pieces are small so beware of losing them (or the dog/baby getting them). We have had some great games but you do need more than 2 players otherwise it all becomes a little silly.

    Great revision, very surprised5
Being a huge fan of classic Cluedo I was a bit sceptical of this revision, but I'm surprised to say the additions really do work very well.

There are three more murder weapons, increasing the number of solutions. The characters each have a special ability (e.g. take an extra turn once per game) which gives them a bit more individuality.

The biggest change is the addition of 'intrigue cards' which are drawn when landing on a '?' square, rolling '?' on one the dice or optionally when called to room as part of a rumour (suggestion). Intrigue cards also give you more options, but some are just 'clock cards'. The player drawing the last 'clock card' is killed by the murderer, adding to the tension late in the game. And the card goes back to the pile to be drawn again! I didn't like this mechanic at first, but I can see that it appeals to younger players and introduces a sense of urgency.

Also there are cosmetic changes: the board has been updated with modern rooms (e.g. patio, spa) and the characters have been given full names (though I can't help still using the old ones).

It still feels like Cluedo and is more fun. The only bad thing I can say about it is that the counters are a bit strange; upright slabs with a '?' on them. I much prefered the old counters that at least looked like they could be a person.

    Overall a solid five stars.
