pro street wii lowdown5
having not played need for speed carbon i was slightly apprehensive as to how this game would fare on the wii, I really fancied buying it having seen the ps3 trailer running in my local store. I fired up the game and i have to say the intro is incredible you would think its a ps3 the details and level of attention on the graphics.

I played the game for around 4 hours non-stop and my wife was relegated to the 'other room' it really is that addiditive, i started by playing a standalone race mode whereby you create a what sort of race you want whether this be round a course or the new drag mode !! 2 of you revving up and hurtling down a 1/4 mile of track !!

Once i got the hang of the controls i entered the career mode and am progessing trying to win tournament and work up the ladder to try and beat the top racers!! the customisation of the cars are all there you can change the entire look and feel and the usual EA jukebox is there with lots of tunes to select from which is handy as not all are that banging !!!!

If your worried about the controls no problems to drive the car you turn the wii remote sideways and button1 and 2 are accelerate and brake and by tiliting up and down you turn the car left and right it really does work !!!if bends are sharp ease of the throttle and you can corner no problems, the drag race lets you hold the wii remote conventially and not worry about steering,!!! burn up your tires for grip by using the b buttong and then a to accelerate when the gear change hits the green bar flick the remote left and you change gear !!! its incredible to see the smoke and your car hurtling down the track.

If your boderline about getting this i'd say go for it and feel the need for speed

So so racing title3
Having played this on someone elses's Xbox 360 and also the PSP version, I have to say the wii incarnation is the best. I can see where the free roamers wouldn't like this, because there ain't no free roamin', but as a straight up racer it pretty much hits the mark but with one huge problem. Whilst the controls are responsive and the gameplay is fine, it is way too easy. I don't think I am that good at video driving games, but apart from drift mode, getting through to meet and beat the bosses (often even easier than the levels below) was no trouble at all. It appears that the AI is defective in this regard. For example you might be up against some car with a 200mph top speed but it is cruising along at 140 on a long straight as you zoom by them.

So all in all a decent enough driving game, the best so far for the wii (until mario Kart comes out surely) but with some issues that need addressing.

surprisingly good!4
I'm no racing game fan but thought I would try nfs purely out of curiosity. Its the first time i have enjoyed playing a car game and I cant wait to get back on the wii and play more. The control method is a bit awkward as it doesnt work with steering wheels. This being said, its not too hard to get the knack of how the controls work. The graphics are of a very good quality and this has to be, by far, the best game I've seen on the wii so far
